One of the wonderful things that has come about since the social media boom - is how easy it is to find new places to visit in cities and and countries you plan on visiting. For months before my trip to Munich and Paris last year, PNY - which stand for Paris New York Burgers - kept appearing on my Instagram feed. And oddly it wasn’t the food that I was drawn too, it was more the stunning pastel, blonde wood and geometric decor designed by Cut Architectures - who also designed the other two PNY’s.

So naturally, the second I had checked into my hotel in Paris last year, I made my way to PNY’s third location in Le Haut-Marais for lunch. It was such a wonderful feeling to walk through Paris and go to a restaurant that I wanted to - I didn’t have to ask anyone else about my plan to visit a restaurant that I’d seen on Instagram. I just picked up my bag and went. It was the first time I’d ever done that while traveling, it was so odd, but so exciting! The moment I found PNY I wasn’t at all disappointed. The staff are incredibly kind and so friendly (they helped me with my broken French, and even let me charge my phone while I ate), the decor is everything that you imagine it will be, and of course the food is incredible.

I do have to admit, it felt so weird enjoying a traditional New York inspired burger in Paris, but you quickly forget about that the second you start your meal - I had the Morning California and vanilla milkshake - probably the most perfect combination after traveling from Munich that morning and wanting some delicious comfort food. I really l lovely sharing places that I have been too - and for those planning a visit to Paris this year, I couldn’t recommend PNY enough, it’s such a wonderful, fun and relaxed restaurant and one I will absolutely be going back to during my three months in Paris. And of course, once you have finished your meal, take your time and slowly wander through Le Marais and enjoy every lazy and wonderful moment of wandering the streets of Paris while in search of your next site to see. x
