Over the past year or so, retail in New Zealand has really been stepping up it’s game by introducing our favourite international brands to the market. And it’s just so nice and such a welcomed relief to finally be able to have a little more choice when we shop here. So with the recent, and very exciting news that beauty giant Sephora (previously known as Luxola) has just opened their online doors to New Zealand. I couldn’t think of a better time to do a little online shopping and get my makeup kit ready for Paris and purchase a few of my favourite international makeup and beauty brands right here from NZ.

I’m very much on the countdown now and have already started thinking about what I am planning on taking with me. It’s going to be as little as possible, and that includes makeup. I found that last time I was there I actually wore very little/minimal makeup, suncream, powder foundation, light blush, liquid eyeliner, mascara and a beautiful lipstick have always been my every day favourites, and are perfect while traveling. Have a peek below for the products that I will be taking to Paris with me, and of course have a wander around Sephora’s New Zealand’s online shop, I’d love to hear what your beauty must haves are this year. x

I have always been a fan of not only beautiful makeup, but how it has been packaged. And Marc Jacobs’s Beauty collection is nothing short of stunning - each piece feels incredibly elegant in your hand, and of course the product its self is flawless and lasts all day. My picks for Paris are simple, but all I’ll need; Perfection Powder - Featherweight Foundation, Brow Wow defining eyebrow pencil, Precision Pen Liquid Eyeliner and Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick in Je t’aime and of course Benefit They’re Real mascara. There isn’t a day I won’t wear mascara and a lipstick - I just feel so much better when I do.

And of course, the extra bits and pieces that are needed for every makeup bag - classic Tweezerman tweezers, Rosebud salve and after leaning about the benefits of eye cream last year, a luxurious pottle of Hope in a Jar Eye Cream by Philosophy. Because to be honest, we all need al little hope when it comes to keeping those fine lines from growing any more. x
