Earlier this week I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Auckland’s latest, and absolutely stunning, concept store The Shelter - envisioned by New Zealand designer Vicki Taylor this relaxed, carefully curated space full of designs from New Zealand and abroad is beyond perfect. The second you walk into the industrial loft space of The Shelter your eye truly doesn’t know where to look. The clean black and white collections by Maison Martin Margiela, Danish clothing designer Barbara Gongini, Canadian jewellery designer Arielle de Pinto, Jimmy D, Monday’s Child from Christchurch and Vicki Taylor’s own brand, taylor are perfectly broken up with perfectly broken up with pops of colour and soft neutrals by Foxes Den and then of course you’re drawn to the delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and some of the coolest bikes, by tokyobikes. There truly is something for everyone in this beautiful shop, if you’re after somewhere new to visit this weekend, where you can enjoy a delicious coffee while admiring some truly stunning homewares, clothing, jewellery and bikes be sure to pop in and say hi to everyone working at The Shelter, they’re so lovely. I hope you all have a truly wonderful weekend planned. x
