One of my best friends and I always joke that some of the best recipes to bake should take less than an hour to make, and use common every day ingredients that you will no doubt have in your kitchen. We both learnt how to bake the basics from a very young age, either from our Mum or Grandma in our family country kitchen and adore making something that’s quick and of course delicious.

This wonderful Classic Sugar Cookie recipe is one of those that everyone should have in their family cookbook. They take no time at all to make, are pillowy soft yet crispy and are a perfect base for adding chocolate chips, slivered almonds, your favourite glaze icing of of course turing them into s’mores.
